  • Opened on Thursday, now Sunday - kept in fridge and given time on two subsequent evenings to warm to 16-18C.

On night one, I found this wine's fruit too powerful. It's young for a seven year old wine. Night four and it's at its peak. Beautiful balance of fruit, body and structure. This one's a keeper, especially for those that like fruit below high-intensity.

This wine will reach its peak of quality after 2020. In the meantime, give it a long decant or drink when it suits to consume it over several days.

  • Double decant for about an hour and it continue to improve over the tasting.
Dark Ruby, intense core with crimson hue. Subtle elegant nose, leafy notes intermix with blackcurrant, primary fruits and toasty oak.
Medium bodied, fresh on palate along with blackcurrant, blackberry, some leafy notes, hints of tobacco leaf and cedar oak. Nice lingering finish, fresh and balance.
