Very good. If memory serves, we let this aerate in decanter for an hour. It could have used 2 or 3 hours. This is still youthful, but is, obviously, showing some developed secondary characters as well. Bottom line (if I had anymore), let this rest in the cellar, there's a good amount of upside from here. Such purity and what lovely proportions to the components (i.e. acids/tannins/fruit). Cork and fill both great; held since release. Thru 2029. b]highly recommended
Served non-blind.

Leather, tea, spice, and some red berry notes. Incredibly smooth on the palate, with acid and fine tannins becoming a bit more apparent with some air. Probably better with food, but just fine without. Easily has another five years of life left. Thanks, Tim!

White Burgundy followed by many others (Sydney, Australia): Very appealing perfume of white pepper, earth, cherry and some leather, it was much cleaner in comparison to the Shiraz it was served next to, but it had complexity and character of its own. Very savoury on the palate, it had lovely balance and the structure here was more impressive. Drink now and over the next few years.

OC4POKER XI - Spain, Portugal, and Bubbly (WCC - Irvine CA): I can appreciate this for its aged rioja breeding but I'm not a big fan of aged wines and so I'm not the best judge of this wine. If you do like that sort of thing then this is right in your wheelhouse.
