This wine is fantastic now. I would assume it is going to give up a little fruit and get even better in the next couple of years, problem is all mine might be gone. From the first pour, the nose is full and vibrant, full of fruit, earth and maybe a little spice. The finish is fast and long lasting, with a little heat. There are several things in the palate that I can't quite put a label on, but it is fun to explore. All in all this is one of the best balanced, yet complex Zins from the 2011 harvest so far! Paired great with a meat pizza.

Clear magenta with slight rim browning. Strawberry jam, leather, vanilla. Low acids, low to medium tannins. Blackberry. Medium balanced finish
