Fairly light colour showing some bricking. Complex nose xith red fruit, celery, medicinal notes and caramel. Medium-bodied taste, fresh but sweet, somewhat simple. Alcohol well integrated. Good finish. Good but not exceptionnal. One botlle left.

Decanted 9 hours with heavy sediment, personally cellared sine 11/97. Lovely port, beautiful nose, zero heat, RS fully integrated, huge amounts of dark fruit, hints of caramel, dark chocolate, very long finish. This bottle seems ready to go but should hold for many years. Absolutely worth the wait!

Colorado Memorial Day Tasting; 5/26/2023-5/27/2023 (Longmont, Colorado): Light amber with a medium ruby edge. Shy nose. I was able to coax out some subtle spice and dried red fruits. The palate has an underlying richness that is pleasant, although there is noticeable tartness and some pronounced tannins on the end of the palette. The tannins carry through the long finish.

Brown suger and caramel on the nice nose. More intense when it sits in the glass, but nice sweetness with some acidity in the medium finish. Lovely with cheese and this drinks well today.
