Birthyear bottle for 25th Birthday Expected very little from this new world Pinot.
Given the pedigree, it was rather monolithic with its red-black fruit in the glass; it had the medium-high acidity and cherry kirsch notes I tasted when I visited Kistler in August. Albeit in a subtly muted form. Dare I say, the wine was a shadow of what it once was. Remnants are there but glad I finally finished the last birthyear pinot. Cabs from hereon out!
