This has always been a fine bottle; red fruited, nice balance and aromatics from the Monti district; I drank through these far to fast, because this one is now on a high plateau of maturity, red notes, leather, spice, still some grip, balanced and not in any fear of imminent decline. Wish I had shown more restraint; I fear I drink my CCRs too young

This showed a beautifully mature nose with dark red fruits, dried florals, leather, savory herbs and dark soil tones. On the palate, I found vibrant, silky textures with red berry, herbs and inner floral perfume. With time in the glass it lost some of its flesh yet remained perfectly enjoyable. Dark fruits, inner floral tones and spice lingered long on the finish.

Rieslings and Italian wines (Count's Manor): meat and iron on the nose. dry strawberry and earthy. forest floor.very savory mid, meaty with ripe cherry. finish veers toward sour cherry that is tangy and quite refreshing. fully mature now. YUM

- Crimsom color. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Linear texture with a long finish - Very nice Chianti. Surprised about the amount of tannins when open, then it really smoothed out.

Still a nice wine after 11 years. Very tannic when opened but opened up quickly. Had it at Piccolo Fornos with some pasta.
