Maybe the best 1989 Australian Shiraz I’ve tasted. Densely colored and still has a bright hue. Black fruit and earth. Spice and tar. Very lifted & fresh. Palate is saturated and structure. Amazing freshness, balance and power. Would have guessed 10 or 15 years younger.

BYO - Michael: Sweet dark plum and coffe flavor with a bit of funk, e.g. sewer. It is quite dry but still has a touch of liquor to it. Quite an interesting wine that has lots of age but still plenty of freshness. Very funky wine.

Quite different to the first bottle initially; with a strong young fruity bouquet upfront. This quickly fades to an older, darker and mustier wet wool smell. Flavour is more acidic than the first bottle, and the colour is more burgandy.

Incredible! Very complex, well balanced, very smooth. Surprisingly smooth and savoury when tasted, compared to a very different dark jammy fruit and mossy wood bouquet. Tastes like a thin well balanced blend, quite a lot of tannin. Fruity flavours but not dark berries, not much.

Well it was very old and mistreated but still stood up for a reasonable drink
