Somehow this escaped the rigorous process of being inventoried in CT when purchased. A blend of grapes of unknown composition, it is a reflection of the (always lovely) Alsatian style - the label describes it as an ideal introduction to the region - and the name Gentil seems appropriate as it is a gentle and pretty wine. While the label claims dry, I found it a hint off-dry, moderate acidity, some slight tropical notes, slight minerality. Enjoyable if not memorable.

bottlers saved money with this one -- composite (not real) cork, thin foil; medium legs, pale metallic (but transparent) yellow; the nose reflects some acidity, tannins, and fruit; a nice tang; dry, more mineral than fruit; some stone fruity-ness, acidity & tannins well balanced, 12.5% alcohol; I didn't experience the bang on the finish that some other reviewers got, rather it was subtle & pleasant

I remember liking this better with more range and depth. Pretty ordinary tonight.
