Calling an Audible (Brad & Marcia's Place, St. Paul, MN): Slightly cloudy medium plus red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour. This was a redux of a bottle back in August. This was excellent again. Tart cherry, hints of red currants, very earthy with distinct damp forest floor, a bit murky, fleshy red fruits, with lovely spice notes. Loved it.

Dinner with Tom & Deb Mortimer of Le Cadeau (COV, Edina, MN): Cloudy medium red color. Drank a glass over an hour. This was flat out awesome. The nose shows cinnamon, baking spices, nutmeg, dried flowers, stone and pretty dark berries. The palate shows raspberry, savory notes filled with complex spices and red currants. Geez this is aging so gracefully and another example of a gorgeous cool vintage. 93+ to 94pts.

19 from our local group plus Tom & Deb Mortimer from Le Cadeau at COV Edina MN. Tom & Deb brought 3 of their stellar PNs and the rest of supplied the starter champagnes and mid-course still whites. One of 3 fantastic PN's from their vyd shared by Tom & Deb. This showcased how nicely Le Cadeau PNs can age with 12yrs in the btl and really appealed to my Burgundian sensibilities! Tonight this delivered placid & nuanced red fruit, mineral, earth & a compelling feeling of tranquility, balance & class. Hints of forest floor, spice and berries on an enticing nose. One of the most intriguing wines of the night. Just bought 2 for myself. Bravo!

This was really good. Very vibrant fruit with almost no sign of bottle age. Bright cherry and spice notes, smooth tannins, nice acidity. I should have taken better notes while drinking it but I was very impressed with the quality.

Medium red color. Decanted for an hour, drank several glasses over 3 hours. This was showing very nicely. Open and well integrated. The nose has cherry sweet tarts, raspberry, spices and some dried earthiness. The palate offers a light medium body, fairly refined, cherry, a bit tart, raspberry, some red currant, spice box and fine tannins and medium plus finish. Very good and bodes well for the other LC '11's.
