medium ruby. On the nose, aroma of medium plus intensity, red cherries, red currants, vanilla, toast, mushroom, green bell pepper, maybe some graphite and mint. On the palate a dry wine with medium acidity and fine tannins, medium plus body and high alcohol. Flavors of red and black cherries, some stewed fruits, an earthiness, herbal tones. Finish is medium plus, has complexity and still developing. Very good wine and good value for the price.

A blend of Cab, Merlot, Syrah, this has a really pretty blend of old and new school characteristics, with polish and gloss and ripeness, but also iron tannins and a leafy, autumnal edge to the fruit. Great stuff.

Retailer tasting: Cherries, mint and some bitterness. The tannin has a good bite. No more notes. Better wine but not really exclusive.
