Decanted briefly. The nose is deep and dark, with mocha, black and dark red currant, fig paste, and charcoal smoke. Caramel palate, acetone, blackberry, wild dark berry, and sharp acidity at 3/4 palate. This will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age.

Deep, sultry nose of cedary/chai tea spice, dark red currant reduction, warm flavors but not alcoholic. Palate has the unfiltered texture, almost rustic but with an impressive sense of control, direct flavors of dark red currant and wild cherry, and firm at the finish. Still has a few years of upside.
