  • Dark purple fruit - blackberry, dark currants, and a little dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration especially for the price point. Nice flavors of dark berries and some spice. Fairly long finish. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours as we were waiting for a 2012 Insignia to decant. Improved a little with time but drinking quite well right away. It actually faired well next to the 2012 Insignia which was surprising. One of the better 2011 cabs that I’ve had - although it doesn’t appear that Argentina had the same weather related issues like Napa with the 2011 vintage. In my opinion, a little better than the 91 rating from WA.
