This really is a serious wine. I find the clonal elements more apparent now than 2 years ago, perhaps because it is entering a secondary phase. Quite a caramel tinge. Fascinating. No hurry. Such a good Mornington Peninsula ambassador, not trying to be a Burgundy look alike.

Pale ruby with garnet on rim Ripe fruit, red cherry, red plum, cranberry, star anise, dried cranberry. Well-defined. Medium intensity. Dry. High acidity. Low tannin: ripe, soft, silky. Medium+ alcohol. Medium bodied. Ripe red fruit: red cherry, red plum, cranberry, star anise, cinnamon spice. Secondary yoghurt notes. Some tertiary dried cranberry, dried red cherry. Medium+ flavour intensity. Medium+ finish. Very good quality. The significant level of alcohol is balanced by the high acidity and good concentration of well-defined red fruit flavours showing very good Pinot Noir typicity. There is some tertiary development from bottle age showing that the ripe fruit flavours have the potential to further develop. There could be greater complexity and a longer finish.

Glorious PN colour. Very slightly opaque. Sweet nose, fragrant strawberry/raspberry etc fruits. Delicious PN palate, long enough for status - and VGV. A real success.

Dark nose of cherry, blackberry, and plum, with hints of dry leaves. Palate shows similar flavours. Light and fruit-forward, but backed by firm tannins and a touch of sous bois.

This has been, and continues to be, a delicious wine. Gorgeous clonal identity(ies). Super. Not for long keeping, but very nice now.
