Agree with Derek Dart Taster's note. Evolved, with many secondary notes and falvours. Garnet in the glass. Huge nose of undergrowth, sour cherries, leather, balsamic, vanilla, spices. Sweet fruit on the palate, with focused acidity to balance. A wine for lovers of "stinky Burgundy", of which I am one. Drink now and enjoy.

Easter weekend free and easy wine session (Kallang Way Extra Space): Tasted blind. Drank after 1 hour of air in bottle. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, garnet colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of pungent earth, muddy undergrowth, mushrooms, dried tomato, red cherries, licorice with more air. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of earth, savoury mushrooms, red cherries, sun-dried tomatoes, licorice. Medium finish. A most interesting wine. This was a really tough guess. Characteristics of aged traditional Brunello yet not really there. Tastes older than an 04. I was thinking a 90s wine here. Drink up. For mushroom and earth lovers. No 2004 green meanie notes here.

Appearance wise, this seemed to have some age on it. Very pleasant wine, didn't appear to have any of the "'04 greeness". In fact, nose seemed to be over-ripe, with notes of toast (oak), plus flowers, earth, then some plums. Quite straight-forward on the palate, not much complexity. Overall an enjoyable drink...

Pnp. Deep flower and earthiness on nose. Freshness palate with red fruits, mud, fresh tomato and grape vine. Round and smooth tannin. A bit green at this stage but already good enough.

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Flower” day): Smoky florals, and mature organic red cherry notes.
Well aged but also superb energy on palate here.
94-95 points easy.
Second round: very much about reduction.
