This is in a good spot right now. Blackberry and cassis on the nose with some charred oak and chocolate notes. Alcohol has faded away. Ripe black fruits on the palate with a kiss of toasty oak. Medium+ acid and tannins and a smooth finish. One of the favorite wines of the night.

Popped and poured. Dark purple color. Strong cassis and black currant jam right out of the gate on the nose along with a good helping of charred oak. Similar flavors on the palate with the oak and vanilla coming through on the mid palate and finish. Grippy tannin Slightly hot but not enough to be distracting. OVerall a well made cab but lacking a bit of wow factor.

Took some time to come into balance. Soft dark fruit, chocolate, oak. Will see if it has improved on day 2.
Day 2: drinking better, fruit slightly more pronounced along with hints of mint and tobacco.

Didn't need any time to breath-drinkable right out of the bottle. Medium tannin, ripe black fruit and cassis.

Lot of fruit, generous amount of oak, but nicely balanced.
