Time has been good to this bottle. Tasted from a decanter over 2 hours. Opened with tight, bright cherry, leather, hint of herb and then the flavors integrated into a velvety texture, even showing some notes of dusty cocoa at one point. The bright cherry became more prominent near the end of the bottle. This wine has plenty of room for development.
Update: Finished the last of the bottle 7 days later. Wine is still drinking well with smooth, mellow integrated flavors.

according to the bottle, 14 years (!) in oak, but you'd never know it. still very young, tight, lean, and fresh, but it does open up after 30-60 minutes. no rush on these.

Too much barnyard for my taste. I suspect bottle variation, based on the notes I see here.
