Picked this up on a road trip to the RV and smuggled it back. Almost Hermitage like. Iodine, meat, tar high tone blue fruit, balance length. Drank over 3 days and was best in the last glass.

Drank from Riedel syrah glass Ruby-garnet to rim. Beautiful ripe red fruits, strawberry, raspberry, cherry, roses, roasted meat, mineral, leafy note and some graphite. Also a touch of celery salt and white pepper. Medium + acid, medium tannin, medium alcohol. Overall a very elegant and bright wine, very light on its feet. Perfect pairing of tonight's courses was cassoulet with white beans, bacon lardons, thyme, and the accents provided by small celery pieces. Excellent. Drink now-2030.

Still young, but already starting to show, the wine offers a nose of flowers, thyme, smoke and black raspberries served up on a fresh, bright, soft palate, with loads of sweet, ripe, juicy cherries in the finish.

En primeur tasting. Finer nose compared to their "standard" Cote-Rotie, also more complex. Good acidity, firm tannic structure, great tension, but with pure fruit notes, a fine mineral streak and wonderful length. Impressive. 92-94+
