Half. Darker than the Nuits, earthy slightly meaty, briary fruit. Lovely depth and very smooth, rounded texture. Decent finish. Very drinkable and held up to onglet very well. ***1/2

Half. Initially, slightly bitter dark cherry fruit and some bite. Opens up and softens around the middle, preserving the cherry fruit alongside some damp earth. Acidity comes into line and provides the appropriate frame for the fruit to sit on. Finishes well with just a hint of dryness. ***1/2

Quite big. Floral dark fruit, with earthiness and stalky herbs. Feels like a bit like a German spatburgunder. Impressive rather than enjoyable. A bit chewy. I’ll leave the others for a while as this felt like it was in a difficult place. The nose is nice but the palate a bit all over the place.

Half. Darker fruited than the NSG, more plummy and briars with some earthy notes. Tannins mellowing but still more of a structured frame than the NSG. More serious but less fun. ***1/2

Drinking well, enough fruit and a little earth, medium finish, a touch more acidity maybe ?
