  • Solid bottle of burg. This has 1er cru weight and texture. Maybe a touch lacking in complexity though. At the beginning of its drinking window.

  • Burgundian Pinot Noir is not my thing. That said this wine is defintely getting better with age. Opened decanted & served at about 18-19c which seemed perfect. Smooth nose of mushroom & floor of the forest. In the mouth delivers much the same. Around the middle of the bottle, after 30 minutes, it seemed to be finishing a bit dry in the mouth but then seemed to find another gear. Not veery heavy or long with just enough acid to be refreshing.

  • Preferred the 2010 entry Bourgogne Rouge which was amazing. This does not disappoint but shows what you get for the price level.
I find so much Burgundy Pinot overpriced and over rated.
Only my opinion. Maybe I just don’t get it yet I find the odd bottle of NZ so much better at the price point.
