Dinner with Olivier Bernstein ( and our 7000 th tasting note) (The Arts Club, London): Open and generous and showed very well on the day and the best of the wines ( at this stage ) we had on the evening. Very Grevrey in style in a way, smoky edge, dark fruits, good density but also effortless, balanced and very elegant. Silky yet firm tannin but generally very welcoming and super drinkable. Very solid and with good life ahead too. 93
A fitting wine to mark our 7,000th tasting note.

Medium light garnet. Discrete, a bit closed nose of dark and red fruit, some mint and bakery spices. The palate is really acidic for a 2012. A bit off balance, could benefit from some more stuffing. An OK Chambolle but nothing to write home about. Decant if consumed now.

Olivier Bernstein Dinner with Olivier Bernstein (Sepia - Chicago IL): Red berries throughout with faint spice hints. Very big fruit, still slightly burly tannins. Good+ length with a very elegant character through a nicely long finish.

what a beautiful wine. Incredible nose of high-toned raspberries, violets and a little musk. Great length, wonderful focus. Strong recommend.
