Slightly pale red, decanted for 30 mins pre drinking. Quite high toned red cherry, slight alpine feel, cut herbs, savoury; clearly Italian but a pleasantly individual and pure wine, and one I enjoyed ***1/2

A private lunch (Restaurant The Dairy, Clapham, London, UK): Essentially a fresh and youthful wine with bright red cherry fruit, but with interesting notes too of rosehip, warm spices and forest floor; silky texture, lively and juicy acidity, quite soft but with just a hint of tannic grip from the skins, lifted flavours, floral (jasmin), nice length.

Al momento più compresso del Rossese annata di Maccario, più teso, arancia sanguinella e molte spezie, poi una forte parte balsamica quasi di pino, resina, poi il mare, nettissimo. Bocca tagliente con un'acidità di ribes nero che mi ha ricordato un giovane biondi-santi (giuro, m'è venuto in mente quello), salino. Contento di averne altre 5 in cantina.
