Opened 3 hours prior to dinner. Enjoyed over 4 hours. great nuits saints georges with structuring tannins and dark berries some tertiary notes on the nose, not overtly gamey and very elegant. in a very good spot right now, will drink my last bottle in 2-3 years

Burghounders NSG; 5/30/2020-6/5/2020 (Bern): not the most intense nose, subtle sous-bois red and dark cherries, less terroir and iron than the other two of the night. maybe not as serious and intense as the other two but I nevertheless enjoyed it very much.

Bright young purple. The nose on this was nothing short of extraordinary: heavily perfumed cherries, violets, orange rind, orange blossom, anise, Asian spice, charred charcuterie, also a trace of rubber and forest floor, seriously complex and intense and continued to evolve and change. The palate is young and sappy with high acidity, predominantly limestone mineralite but a background hint of dark cherries and spice. Velvety unobtrusive tannins. This was young, perfumed, sappy, complex and delicious. Fruit is sourced from younger vines in the domaine's monopole Clos des Forets Saint Georges.

13% alcohol. From a half bottle in a restaurant. Pale colour; very aromatic nose of raspberry. The mouth is equally enticing with excellent balance and a lively finish. Perhaps more like a Côte de Beaune wine than a NSG in that it trades weight for finesse, and no complaint from me! I would certainly buy this wine if I could source it at a reasonable price.

A CT average of 86.5 hardly seems fair for this young vines l'Arlot cuvée. Deep, dark colour. A nose of black cherry, clove, musk and lifted dark florals, with the stems showing themselves in a little dried herb. On palate, best on opening, after about an hour it began to close a little. Dark fruited and earthy on palate, with sous bois, liquorice and a hint of slatey mineral. Juicy with good acidity. A cooling, stemmy element. Fine grained tannins. This wine really needs another 3-5 years to fully express itself.
