Open in bottle for 7hrs, decanted for 20min...once it got going, this wine was humming all night! Little darker with deeper exotics that need more age to release...needed some coaxing and all that air time...super smooth and seamless with ripe crushed dark cherry and strawberry...blackberry...lively vein of cherry skin sours...deep and intoxicating with damp forest, earthy mushroom, leather, coffee...together with the sandalwood/oak barrel spice exotics and dried flower florals...every swirl and whiff would bring out more complexities and intrigues... just exudes pure class! Had with the 2020 as well, and that one is shut down and in need of sleep. 2012 has more room to roam for sure! +pts

Poured straight from the bottle at close to room temp. Immediate impression was that the prime window is wide open for this bottling. Upon first pour the baking spices along with the raw and roasted red fruits burst forth aromatically. The palate is far more complex and immersive, while always remaining pleasing. Classic sour cherry/strawberry signature of Grand Cru red burgs is evident throughout. The most astounding part of this wine is the "weightlessness" the RSV achieves. Your palate is registering a flavor overload while the 'mouthfeel' of the wine remains feathery and airy. The neatest trick! Finally, upon returning to it after dinner there was an unmistakable 'cola' aromatic that was arguably the most enjoyable part of experiencing this treasure.

Very 2012. Hits all of the high-toned red fruit notes, but falls short of being an incredibly open and social wine (at this point).
Oak is beginning to integrate here, but the wine remains closed. Would continue to hold here for optimal enjoyment.

Ye Paulee (Hao Noodle): 01785/13781. Really muted especially in comparison, good weight but missing the delineation in recent vintages. 93
