Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Auxy, Beaune, Savigny, Corton (Bishopscourt): (Tasted Blind): A light crimson graduating to some mahogany at the rim. A fragrant bouquet with ripe red fruits, fresh earth and a hints of caramel and oak. A fresh, sappy entry, the wine is linear with noticeable acidity. There is an earthy sheen, plum skin texture and fairly dense fruit concentration. Well-structured, the wine has a presence, but the tannins are firm and build as the wine opens (perhaps the stem inclusion contributes?), becoming somewhat austere on the finish. Reasonable length.

Final conclusion (tasted during two days): too young. The power in this wine is difficult to handle. In the nose there is a fight between violets and dark red fruit and the taste is between smooth and a bit severe; in the finish, although a bit rough (good bitters), the tannins are ripe. The wine shows a lot of potential; so be patient.

Brilliant drinking. Clean and pure dark cherry nose and palate in a powerful body. Finishes with some nice spice.
