Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Colour: dark cherry to plum, quite dark for Pinot, but still translucent
Nose: stewed black cherries, dark chocolate. Cassis. Lots of sweet spice, cinnamon. Strawberries and cream? Very rich and sweet, with lots of black fruit.
Palate: stewed black cherries with dark chocolate. Cassis. Strawberries. Bitter cocoa, cinnamon. Rich and intense, but not as sweet as it first appeared on the nose. Leathery, slightly earthy. Medium grained, drying tannins. Fresh, berry like acidity. Very nice. The first really good Burgundy I've had in a while! 13% alcohol.
