Eye: Crimson Nose: Dark pinot fruit, black cherry and black berry, funk, menthol and clove. Palate: Blackberry and raspberry, with forest floor, underbrush and spice. With med acidity, suave tannins and a med + finish.
Overall this was nice and it has gotten darker in its age but is integrated. This wine is approachable now but i am not certain how much more it can go or evolve...Perhaps 2-3 years. Enjoy!!

Westchester Wine School: USA Pinot Noirs (White Plains, NY): Drank blind at WWS pinot tasting vs an Oregon pinot and Italian nebbiolo. Aromas of meat and game on the nose, along with some fruit. Purplish in color, and fairly light bodied. On the earthy side, with some elements of spice, forest floor and black raspberry fruit. Still a bit tannic. Needs time.

Nose: Sweet red fruit and earth come wafting out of the decanter with wood and floral notes. Palate: Full feel with chalky tannin, ripe fruit and good Strawberry, Black Raspberry and smoke notes. Finish: Crystaline red/black fruit notes and forest floor.
This needs time, but trying a bottle at this early stage was a pleasure. Revisit in 2018 earliest.
