Four x Fourrier (Black Salt): This was the most dynamic wine of the lineup, starting out very generous and then tightening up considerably to the point where it was even a little challenging, but I'm glad I got to stay for the whole show because there really is a lot happening here. Initially poured next to the Petits Vougeot, and at that point this easily outclassed the 1er cru, as it simply had a broader reach combined with a more pliant, voluptuous form, even if it didn't quite have the seve and inner density of the Petits Vougeot. But this also had a serious spine and a streak of mintiness which started constricting this thing pretty tightly in the glass, and over the course of an hour or so it went from airy and generous to clenched up like a fist.
