Pop and pour. Soft struck match reduction, sweet lemon, lemon oil, fantastic purity. On the palate: good acidity, wet stone minerality, lemon oil, lovely density and weight. Finish a little less intense than on the mid, but very good.

Was a great experience to drink this next to sandhi bentrock 2014. Stylish notes of reduction and complexity. Certainly this is what all the haute producers want their Chardonnay to taste like.

Tasted blind. Lovely, but also really reductive nose of apples, flint, minerals, and smoke. Nice acidity on the palate with minerals, green apples, and chamomile tea. Good finish. This was quite elegant and delicious and very obviously White Burgundy. Probably the best Bourgogne Blanc I've had. 92-93

Popped and poured. Diam cork. Lovely citrus infused flinty nose, really draws you in. Medium weight palate, simple texture with lemon accents, very clenched and drying finish with a bit of grapefruit rind. Great Burgundy for a Monday evening meal.

The idea that the drinking window of this wine ended in 2018 is laughable. This is my first btl of a few. Pop and pour, struck match, reduction, but that dissipates with a bit of air. On the nose: lemon, golden apple, loads of wet stone minerality. On the palate: fantastic acidity, lemon oil, herbs, golden apple (the black cherry pie baking in the background is extremely distracting), then amazing wet stone minerality. Stunning for a white, especially in this vintage.
