PnP, too cold. Nonetheless, nose full of something savoury plus cranberry and pomegranate. Yum. Palate is crisp, acidic, red fruited, and with a nice herbaceous finish. I am digging this from the first sip.
As it warmed, I occasionally could have sworn that I got sniffs of cumin along with everything else mentioned before. This is a delicious Pinot, with a little less earth than I would have expected but it's perfectly in balance and hints at the complexities that will come out over time. Should get more.

Deep garnet color. Nose of red cherries, white flowers, and baking powder.
Palate follows the nose with the addition of strawberry and red raspberry notes. I love Pinots that tend to the red end of the spectrum and this certainly qualifies. Medium bodied, with incredible smoothness and only 13.6% abv. Nice structure with good acidity and well-integrated tannins.
This wine deserved more than the cheap plastic cups that it was poured into at a BYOB Mexican joint in Chicago (not our original destination), but quality shined through. Yummy stuff.

Pours a gorgeous cherry red. Nose of macerated cherries and cranberry.
Flavors of tart cherry, cranberry, lingonberry and a touch of maple. Medium bodied with high- acid and medium, refined tannins. Lingering finish with cleansing acidity. You can definitely tell that this is Anderson Valley fruit -- Copain also sources fruit from Wiley. Nicely done and a good value. Should improve with age, but of the 2012's probably the most immediately accessible.
