13.5% abv. 95 cases made. Recent auction purchase. Other notes are pretty accurate with this wine. It's fairly light and acid-driven and on the feminine side of Cali Pinot. Clean and detailed with pure fruit and good structure. More fruit than earthy tones and clearly Cali. Aromatics are fairly light, but pretty and pleasing. Could use more depth, but it picked up some weight on the second evening (vacuum sealed). Still, my wife found it a bit too tart and I would say this is clearly imbalanced toward the acidic side. Very good, well-made Pinot but doesn't reach the heights of California Pinot for me. Acid-heads will enjoy this more than I did. This has the structure to last for a while and perhaps will improve with a few more years under its belt.

Bingo. My style of pinot noir. Floral with roasted dark black cherry notes, spicy and juicy. Has a stern spine, almost feeling like something more old school, old world in tone and expression. Very good. Evan made some great Pinot Noir in 2012, yet another example of it.

Ruby red, bright, medium spice/fruit aromatics, crisp red fruit. Day one tannins were jarring, large stem inclusion? Day two (recorked no gas) the tannins mellowed, still evident, allowing the fruit to come forward a bit.
Not that familiar with this style, but my wager is this wine will be shining in a few years.

Crisp and a little on the light side weight-wise. Dark, tight berry fruit, smokey. Very good.

Dark fruit, smooth with smoke, tight tannins, old world dark flavors, earth, toasty oak. Smoother, silkier than some of the others. Excellent.
