The Inaugural Paris Wine Event (Papies at Passy, Paris): Bought back in 1987 from the father of our friend who brought this along and cellared well so the bottle is as good as it gets so we feel characteristic of the wine. Unfortunately the wine is past its peak and maybe never had the stuffing to make it last this long. It is healthy in a way but lacking a lot of elements. The fruit is well matured away, nose is light , palate presence is short. A good experience for old claret lovers like us but the wine has seen better days. 88
