It was a little bit oxidized… Other than that, it was pretty high on tannins but relatively fruity. It was not bad, but not some thing that I necessarily would go back to.

really enjoyed this on pizza night. medium body / lighter than expected, though the tannin and acidity are serious. tannin like you'd see with a young cab... would be interesting to see if this mellows in 5-10, but I'm not convinced the fruit will still be around as the other elements come together. frankly, it's delightful now.

Dark purple, like velvet curtains from the '70's. Nose is out of this world good. The front palate is good with very dark fruit and tobacco. There is no mid palate, it goes straight to the devil tannic end and leaves you puckering like an old lady with no teef. Seriously.
I texted my LWS guy and he said it is best with steak. Steak would help but kind of like throwing someone who is drowning in the middle of the ocean a helium ballon. It ain't going to help enough.
I would suggest holding bottles for at least five, if not ten years, before consuming.
