I wish I could do a side-by-side tasting with one of Fiddlehead's Central Coast outputs. Sadly my stock of Lollapalooza is depleted. Assuming the winemaking style is the same, then terroir (climate, land composition, rainfall) would be the primary difference in taste, texture, and complexity. From memory, I believe the Oregon version has a slightly lighter body than Fiddlehead's Central Coast wines. But the cherry nose, manageable tannin, and good finish are the same. I especially like that the cherry isn't too tart and that no tar crept into my nostrils...traits I don't like in PNs and Nebs.

Upside surprise! Ripe black cherry, caramel and sage on the nose; ripe black cherry, vanilla on the palate. warm, soft finish. More like Santa Barbara County than Oregon, but still delicious.

Cherry and rose petals on the nose, along with forest floor, spice, and a little cranberry at the end. Cherry and Roses on the palate, with earth and pepper, and some cranberry on the finish. The mid-palate has a nice grip.

Nice nose, balance and red fruit with decent finish. Paired well with the thanksgiving meal.
