Nice deep purple color. Nice nose, though a little more subtle than I would had expected. In mouth the acidity tanins are present on a first tasting and they settle after an hour of decanting producing a wine that is very pleasant. I still believe that this wine can age some more circa 2-3 years. It will not improve on the nose side but I believe it will gain in depth in mouth.

Medium color. Sulfur and some funk on the nose-let's just say this does not draw you in. Medium weight, stemmy, lots of mineral and herb. Despite that, it presents as fairly supple until strong acidity more than tannin gives a very dry finish. I'd pass on this one (particularly after tasting the Clape right afterwards).

Bright ruby, not dense looking. Floral perfume. Elegant feel, explosive dark red fruit, piquant acidity, complicated by herbal finish. Clean and lively, light and relatively fruity for Cornas.

Texture raffinée, de la soie... pas du tout rustique pour un Cornas!
