  • Very pale, even neutral color. Very ripe fruits in the slightly reticent nose with cantaloupe, ripe apples and pear in the fore, some minerality in the background. A lot more oomph on the palate with the fruitiness coming across as very ripe and sweet despite the lack of noticeable residual sugar; there's a neat blend of dryness and sweetness. A plethora of fruits on the ample palate yet the wine seems somehow restrained and classy: it is not an explosion of fruits, but instead gives small bits and pieces of fruits here and there. Cantaloupe, ripe apples, peaches, pineapple, a touch of banana... Acidity balances the wine nicely: even though the wine lacks crisp raciness and comes off as slightly soft and round, it is nicely structured and lively at the same time. The finish is off-dry with a fruit basket notes, powerful minerality and mouthwatering acidity.

Lots of power and ripeness here. A great example of a wine that can be enjoyed on its own or with rich pasta dishes. At 16,50€ this is a good buy.
