  Medium ruby, narrow rim. Medium/medium + intense black cherry aromas with vanilla and toasty hints. There are also some off-putting, slightly rotting vegetal notes here. On the palate this has medium, very soft tannins and medium acidity. Quite full bodied, with intense black cherry and vanilla on the palate before toasty and the same vegetal notes emerge on the finish.
  
  The vegetal notes wore off as the evening progressed but overall this was somewhat heavy and lacking elegance and finesse.
