Bought 4b for 12/b from a local retailer almost three years ago; tried one and bought three more, and this is the first since the original test bottle. No decant, no sediment. Deep red color, fragrant and spicy nose, good red fruit. Shared with a group of five wine aficionados, and all agreed that it was among the best Malbecs they'd tried, though none were serious fans of Malbec. I found it tasty, though short of delicious, perhaps because the food pairing was a challenge--spicy chicken breast and salt-coated potatoes. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. With some reluctance due to the food pairing,I considered this notable when considering quality, age, and price. I'll try again.

One of the smoothest malbecs right out of the bottle I've ever tasted. Not as bold as some, but a very nice mouth feel and smooth, but full finish. Good depth without the "chew."

Dark plum notes, still smooth after this many years, nice Malbec for the price
