Decanted this very gently into a thin decanter and left for an hour to dissapate the slight mustiness. Browning about a centimetre into the glass. Mid body. The nose has quite a lit of rich almost kirsch like fruit with some soft composts notes. The palate is still has some freshness and had dark cherry fruit with some earth and little asian spice and soy. Quite a decent finish, this is a cracking bottle of mature Vosne, wish I had more

Wraysbury Dinner (Home): Opened about six hours ahead of serving and left with the cork back in to relax. Freshened up and put on some weight in the interim. Nicely sweet mid red fruit, silky smooth. Darkened and became a little more savoury in the glass, finishing with a touch of soy. As intended, when served blind this was taken as a mature Rioja. Plenty of mid-palate depth and interest. Remarkable given the vintage etc. Really very enjoyable. ****

1974 Dinner: This was really unexpectedly magnificent. VERY stinky when first opened, but a few hours air (not in a decanter) cleaned it up perfectly. Rich, complex, almost creamy fruit. Amazingly young.

Lovely fruit and balance. Everything is so well integrated. No where near past it.
A revelation given the reputation of the vintage.

Surprisingly consistent with prior notes.
Didn't last well into day 2.
