  • Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 3.5 hours. I was cooking all night so I didn't get a lot of introspective time with this wine, but it was drinking really well. Another '11 that shows a lot of class. Deep with dried herbs, forest floor, black currants, exotic spices and a satiny texture. Probably hitting its prime.

  • first day could have used a little decant ; dark fruit and tannins enough to hold for another 5 yrs or so
on day 3 integrated with some tart wild strawberries
somewhat expensive, but still a nice qpr

  • Decanted and poured a small taste. Acidic sharpness especially on the the finish. Allowed wine to remain in the decanter for a couple more hours but the acidic edge never dissipated. Needless to say, very disappointed based on CT and professional reviews. Was necessary to consume with hearty dinner in order to tolerate.

  • Had recently at a steakhouse, with a brief decant. No specific notes, but this wine, for a 2011 Napa Cab, is very strong. Good fruit, tannin structure, finish is a bit short yet grippy, but overall I am impressed. If you have some in your cellar, there is no rush to drink. Compared to some valley floor Napa Cabs, this has staying power. I will wait to drink my other bottle.

  • Really nice wine and a pleasant surprise given the year for Napa Valley. PnP with friends and had with Beef Tenderloin on the grill. I am always a fan of a good Napa cab with red meat and this wine did not disappoint. Given my experience with other 2011 Napa cab's, I would say this has some time left before it peaks. I have a couple other bottles and I would recommend trying one again in 2016-18.
