  • 1st of 3 for me and it's drinking well right now. Had a Tuscan style steak tonight and this was a perfect fit for it. Unmistakably Tuscan IMO, with its blend of earthen and cherry notes leading the charge. Medium ruby in color with transparency. Aromas of cherry, leather, soil, and green bell pepper, along with some graphite minerality. Medium body, medium(+) acid and finish, and flavors of black currant, cherry, a green pepper element that's not so much bell and more jalapeño or serrano but without the heat if that makes sense, and a graphite mineral streak running throughout. Not an explosive example of the variety, but with a definite sense of place, and a pretty solid value at the ~$20 price paid on special. 90+

  • Excellent drop. Nicely rounded by its bottle age and drinking well now. Nice cab varietal characteristics, with an appealing earthiness. The drink window here on CT seems overly optimistic to me - I wouldn't wait more than another 3 or 4 years, at most, and I say drink 'em if you got 'em now.

  • A wonderful surprise purchase from Cinderella WL. Deep plum coloring, a slight earthiness, but did not come across as an "old world" style. Medium to full body and finish. I would think another 3 to 5 years easy.

  • This is a fantastic light weight Cab Sauv out of Italy. It's definitely not Bordeaux and certainly not CA or Ausie. Nose has celery and tar but not heavy. In the mouth ripe plum and chart cherries start and tobacco towards the end.

I could call this "balanced" but really just the fruit foward style cab out of CA toned down a couple of notches.

This is OK at $30 and fantastic at $20. At $15 (my price) it's a creaming bargain.
