A blend of Chenin Blanc (71%) and Muscat de Frontignan (aka. Muscat Blanc; 29%).
Deep golden yellow color. Very small bubbles start to form on the inside of the glass. The nose feels very sweet, intense and expressive with rich aromas of honey, lemon marmalade, toasty botrytis spice, some ginger, a little bit of herbal peppermint character, light golden raisin tones and a hint of dried pineapple. The wine is very sweet, extremely full-bodied and unctuous on the palate with thick, syrupy flavors of honey, molasses, lemon marmalade, some toasty botrytis character and a hint of apple jam. The acidity doesn't prove a match for the unctuous body and massive sweetness, getting heavily overwhelmed in the midpalate and showing only a little bit towards the aftertaste. The long finish is very sweet and complex with pronounced honeyed richness, tart citrus fruits, lemon curd, some spicy botrytis, a little bit of orange marmalade and a hint of fruit salad syrup.
A super-unctuous, immensely sweet and ridiculously rich dessert wine that shows some nice complexity but no sense of finesse whatsoever. This is just full blast from the first whiff to the last drop. Overall the wine feels a bit too sweet and heavy to be of real use with desserts - this kind of wine will most likely overwhelm most, if not all, desserts and great majority of less powerful cheeses. Perhaps some cellaring might coax some harmony and balance out underneath all that sweetness?

There is nothing subtle about this wine, nose is like a punch in the face (or more like an actual glass of exotic fruit punch thrown in your face!) and the palate is dominated by an immense sweetness. But it is not without quality. The intensity is good and there is some complexity to the nose. Canned apricots, yellow raisins, honey, saffron and brown sugar.
Good QPR, but for just a few more bucks you can get something with a lot more refinement!

Popped this with dessert on my brother's birthday at Peach Garden (OCBC Centre). The wine is clear, star bright, gold, high concentration, no rim variation, no evidence of gas or sediment, viscosity is high. On the nose, it is clean, with moderate intensity, youthful, showing lots mandarin oranges, ripe peaches, dried apricots, and honey. Hints of roasted nuts and toast. Bortrytis. Oak is evident. On the palate, very sweet, medium+ body, confirms the nose - lots of ripe mandarin oranges, ripe peaches, dried apricots, marmalade toast with honey, nuts, and a hint of orange peel and white chocolate. Oak is evident. Bortrytis. Medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ finish, and complexity is medium. Lovely wine that went PERFECTLY with tiramisu cake! I noted that my dad was impressed with this wine.

Rich flavors of apricot and plum. But short taste that extinguished too quickly. something imbalances towards the end.
