  • 2nd bottle and it was worse than the first one. This time I determined that it was flawed due to contamination. I couldn't quite tell at first because the first bottle we had wasn't really all that enjoyable so I thought it may just be the wine. The majority of this bottle went down the sink. ~ (previous bottle) This Zinfandel looked more like a Pinot Noir than most of the Pinot Noirs that I've tried lately. Although very thin, it still presented nice aromas and a decent flavor profile. It worked well enough with the meal we paired it with. Despite its shortcomings, it was not too bad for the $8.71 that I paid for it. My expectations were low to begin with, so I have little to complain about.

  • Very good for an $8 bottle of wine. What you expect from Lodi at this price point as far as flavor and smell. Strong cherry presence with black pepper spice.

  • Candied cherry on the nose. Light to medium body with bright red fruit, but a bit on the bright side with less fruit. Has too much alcohol for the fruit and has minimal tannins. Short finish. Decent if it was an $8 bottle of wine.
