The Cerbois XO and the De Lord 25 year-old bas armagnac are the two that I have enjoyed the most in my life. It is a very fine call which is better and I will not try to persuade the reader either way. The Cerbois is the subject here, and one is tempted to just continuously swirl the glass and inhale the exquisite aromas suggestive of brandied peaches and apples and more beyond my descriptive ability. The taste is deep, smooth, continuously enjoyable throughout. This is quintessential bas armagnac and can make a fine comparison with any high-end cognac.
