  Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this wine, a blend of 80 % Grenache and 20 % Syrah, aged for 12 months in old oak barrels. Decanted: one hour prior to tasting. Very deep purple-red colored wine with a lovely nose exhibiting intense aromas of black currants, dried herbs, dark chocolate and a hint of nutmeg. The full-bodied palate reveals a sumptuous and concentrated wine, plenty of ripe red fruit, a lush round mouth feel and quite smooth tannins. Persistent finish. Already very well drinkable now, but should develop nicely with 2-3 additional years of cellaring.
  
  Aangenaam verrast door de kwaliteit van deze wijn, een blend van 80 % Grenache en 20 % Syrah, met een rijping van 12 maanden in oude eiken vaten. Gedecanteerd: één uur voor consumptie. Zeer diep purperrood van kleur en een fraaie neus met intense aroma's van zwarte bessen, gedroogde kruiden, donkere chocolade en een vleugje nootmuskaat. Een weelderige, geconcentreerde wijn, vol rijp rood fruit, met een rijkelijke, ronde mondvulling en al vrij goed versmolten tannines. Serieuze afdronk. Nu al heel goed drinkbaar, maar zal zich allicht nog 2-3 jaar verder op fles ontwikkelen.
