Community Tasting Notes (4)

  • Medium straw color. Immediately upon opening shows some toasty oak, with a high-toned pine pitch note, then some white flowers. Palate seems somewhat muddled and lean, and fruit seems to be lacking. Now seems to simply be fading in the glass. Plenty of bones, little flesh. Disappointing.

  • This bottle was drinking very nicely. Although showing some richness and buttery qualities, it comes with a lovely mineral backbone. Some nice white fruit. Well balanced. This is significantly better than the last bottle. Four days later, I realized about a third of the bottle was still in the fridge, stopped with VacuVin. Really nice! Lovely balance, still terrific fruit and acid, too bad I only have one bottle left.

  • Fairly advanced on the nose, showing some evolving complexity. Palate of guava and minerals. Develops quite nicely in the glass. Finish is somewhat thin. Overall a pretty good wine, but not great. Drink sooner rather than later.

  • Wow! Much different than when tasted at Caveau de Chassagne. There, it was quite lean and tight. Has already developed some very nice orange blossom and honeysuckle on the nose. Quite lush, relatively speaking. Well focused, and nicely balanced. I know it's young, but I had to give it a try.
