  • a look at Gevrey Chambertin (jacky's bistro): nose: interesting light tones of sweet citrus', bits of candied tones, pineapples, mangoes, and some pear tones poke their way through too. Surprisingly forward on the nose that doesn't neccessarily give off a full sense of place, but more a strange sense of being if you would

taste: fairly bright on the palate with a medium/light feel providing tones of incense, pears, apples, pineapples, and underlying tones of minerals. Again, relatively forward with decent depth on teh palate

overall: not a wine to sit on, this is drinking perfectly right now. A bit different from what I'd expect from a chassagne montrachet, but worked well as a(relative) starter white to get things going
