Very dark, black plum/cherry colour, almost black. Slightly one=dimensional nose of treacle and dry bramble fruit. Medium-full to full bodied, soft tannins, molasses, rounded, lots pf punch but not much subtlety; a heavy Southern Rhone. Long leathery finish. It's a good wine, but simple and powerful.

P&P. Deep ruby, with purple tinge, tainted slow moving tears @15% abv. Medium aromas of black fruits, earth, smoked meat. Dry, medium acidity, medium(+) tannin, high alchol and full body. Mouthful of flavors of black fruit, tobacco, pepper. Structure, complex and mouthcladding tactile contact. Great length, gripping finish with loads of pepper and some residual heat balanced with bright acidity. Decant. Likely to balance with cellaring; it has all the components of a great wine, in its adolescence.

Grenachy ripe red fruit and smoke, with some herbs and mint. Smells and tastes Australian in a good way. Back end has a bit of a clip.
