  Very impressive,
  Remarkably, this wine is still drinking very well after 34 years.
  The syrah has surely kept this blend with Grenache fresh.
  Even the hue is impressive after all these years.
  Still fruit remaining on the nose to go with the white pepper and the rest of the spices.
  Very skillful winemaking for what was the very first vintage.
  Nice texture and balance. The wine has lost a little of its length , but is still very enjoyable.
  i checked my notes. I tasted this wine back in 1993, purchased at the estate, and liked it.

  Old tasting note from 1993 19/20
  deep ruby center, almost opaque.
  Nose still closed but shows great concentration.
  Present but high quality tannins.
  sufficient acidity to provide an excellent balance.
  Should age well.
