Lemon citrus and something similar to vanilla on the nose. On the palate, lemon citrus, chalk, pineapple, and notes of tangerine, peach, and a hint of popcorn (maybe from oak?) on the long finish, with moderately strong acidity. This has a slightly oily mouthfeel that adds to the experience. The delicate notes of peach and tangerine are almost haunting - it's beautiful wine. This bottle showed no signs of oxidation, so it has at least a few good years left, and maybe more. It was a very good to excellent value at a little over $80.

Lost Friday afternoon gathering – Jamet, Grange des Peres, Raveneau, Chave, Pignan and etc. (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner, VA): Expressive slightly modern nose displaying ripe succulent yellow fruit, pineapple, pina colada, crème brulee, seashell and subtle limestone. Nicely integrated palate, nicely layered yellow fruit, silky, round and fluid, good acidity and mineral, and a medium to long sweet yellow fruit driven finish with a hint of oak and mineral at the end. This is a solid, slightly modern, Corton Charlemagne that is drinking beautiful.

An off the charts rendition of Corton because the even better Corton got blended into this in '12.
Smoke and cream corn on the nose. Beautiful. Lovely structure, just great wine.
