Really intense flavors, lemon, apple, brioche, hints of caramel and toast. Great balance and really enjoyable right now. Not super complex but delicious.
Disclosure, I don't really like dry Riesling (most of the time). This was probably one of the better examples for me, loads of green apple, pear, tropical fruits, white flowers, nice acidity, but in the end, somewhat off balance and bitter to my palate.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru
Truly a unique wine to taste and one that I'll never be able to have again, especially stored this well. Crazy strong nose of lunch meat shavings, lemon jam, nice saline character, very good balance and length. Truly amazing flavor profile and unlike any I've had before in a wine.
France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Vin de Pays de l'Hérault
Stored incredible well, super concentration still, dark red fruits with blackberry, top soil, white pepper, chalk, very nice and a treat to try at this age to see what this wine can do.
Drinking well if you get the first pours away from the massive sediment. Loads of red fruit, cinnamon, clove, rose petals, chalky soil. Great balance and a treat to try.
Terrific balance and nose, what I look for in a Northern Rhone this had it. Medium red fruits, loads of spices and pepper, rocky minerality, dried soil, great finish. Excellent.

Citrus, and sea breeze dominant, some pear, caramel and lichee. I like this style, others thought it was a bit artificial.

Very citrus and mineral, rocky and saline dominant. I liked this the least of the Cortons we had, but it was still very good.

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru
Very dark red fruits, velvety texture, elegant but with some intense flavors, a bit tannic still on the backend. Needs 5-10 more years.

Light red fruits, it reminded me of an aged Gamay, cooking spices, saline character, very good balance. Interesting in comparison to the '89.
